Eoin is a fully qualified casting member of the Association of Advanced Professional Game Angling Instructors and founder of Speycast Eoin Fairgrieve is World Team Speycasting Champion and widely regarded as one of the world's leading speycasting instructors. At the age of 24, Eoin became one of the youngest ever instructors to qualify in both the A.A.P.G.A.I trout and salmon disciplines and has been professionally teaching fly casting and fly fishing for almost twenty years. Eoin began working as a salmon guide on the famous Makerstoun beat of the River Tweed in 1988, before starting up his teaching practice in 2001 to concentrate on casting instruction and education on the Tweed system. He specialises mainly in teaching modern speycasting techniques in a relaxed and friendly environment at his Centre of Excellence located in the Scottish Borders. Royal Highland Educational Trust to visit Haddington Show This year RHET will be visiting the Countryside Tent, the theme is “SHEEP” they will be bringing along a 3 live sheep - a Tup, a Ewe and a Lamb, Speakers will be there throughout the day to talk to children and adults on ALL aspects of Sheep rearing from, their circle of life, different breeds, their meat, to their wool. RHET will also be having a on guess its Birthday, another competition on answering question that the answers can be found in other parts of the show, we will have a competition on making lambs and placing on a grid, Also knitting, and a few prizes and giveaways. Biodiversity Display at the 2010 Show Do you like to see birds and butterflies in your garden? Do you like to see wildlife when you walk in the countryside? If so, then visit the Countryside Tent for all you need to know about birds, bees, butterflies and biodiversity. Biodiversity is the variety of life – all the wildlife you see around you, and plenty you never knew existed. This wildlife needs your help. Find out how to help wildlife in the Countryside Tent. The Biodiversity Display Team includes the RSPB, Scottish Natural Heritage, Scottish Seabird Centre, Wildlife Crime Unit, SOC, National Trust for Scotland and East Lothian Council Ranger Service. Do your bit for biodiversity and watch your world come alive. And for the bairns, why not give them a biodiversity puppet show? On the hour, every hour starting at 10.00. Our 2009 main ring entertainment will include the Quack Commandos. The Quack Commandos Road Show is presented by the Scottish Sheepdog School based at Kinlochard in The Trossachs. This hilarious road show demonstrates the skill and speed of the Border Collie in action with a flock of Indian Runner ducks. |
